The Nor-East Advisor was a local newspaper that was edited and published by J.A. McLaren. The newspaper was printed by Jenvrin Printing Co. and was released every Friday. The newspaper was targeted to the northeast portion of the City of Edmonton.

Due to the physical deterioration of the newspapers due to mould and water damage, the material can not be pulled until conservation can be conducted prior to digitization.
The fonds was donated to the City of Edmonton Archives by Ray Martin in 1987.
Further accruals are not expected.
Ray Martin was the MLA for the Edmonton - Norwood constituency and eventually the leader of the Opposition New Democrats.
There are no restrictions on access.
