This marker was funded by the Province and erected by the Parks and Recreation Department in honour of the Centennial anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The sign was located on Fort Trail near the City limits, around 153 Street.
This display was one of the civic initiatives to honour the Centennial anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The Mountie in the middle of the photo is Assistant Commissioner Victor Seppala. To his right is Lieutenant Governor Ralph Steinhauer. The event was in honour of the Centennial anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
