Scope and content

Includes Grandmother and Grandfather Milner (John Milner and his wife Mary Ann), their son William and daughter Mary Ann (holding doll), Mrs. C.W. Mathers (sitting down) and the two McDonald girls (likely daughters of Kenneth McDonald). The one year old mule on the right was the first mule colt born in Alberta. The photo was taken on Fraser Flats (now Riverdale). Note: Charles Mathers and his wife were friends of John and Mary Ann Milner. It is quite possible, though not confirmed, that the photo was taken by Charles Mathers.
