This photo is believed to be part of the "RCMP Century: Salute to the Winged Mounties" display in City Hall. Bill and Dick Jarvis are descendants of Inspector William D. Jarvis of the N.W.M.P.
This event was in honour of the Centennial anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Chief Sam Bull of Goodfish (Whitefish) Lake First Nation is visible in the bottom left of the photo.
This cemetery memorial was provided by HDC Construction to Edmonton's Chinese Benevolent Association as part of their bid to build a similar structure at Beechmount Cemetery.
