Richard Henry Secord

The series consists of Richard Henry Secord’s daily journals, including event and financial notes, 1891-1928 (incomplete), and account books relating to various business activities, 1890-1919 (incomplete), and correspondence and other documents relating to his life activities and involvements. Some daily journals contain entries written by Richard’s wife, Annie York Secord.
The books reflect his political activities and the photographs include Richard at various ages in his life, as well as reflect his various businesses and recreational interests.

Isobel Secord

The series consists of correspondence, a programme and photographs.
File 1: Correspondence - a Christmas card from Aunt Aggie, and a letter to Isobel and her sister, Gene, from Aunt Wittie, Christmas 1923.
File 2: Programme - Royal Visit Pictorial Review - Commemorating The Alberta Visit of Their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, 1939.

The photographs are of Isobel as a child, and young girl, as well as an album with photographs from her time working as a nurse in Cape Town, South Africa.

The series consists of daily journals (diaries), 1906-1918, 1937-1950, scrapbooks and recipe clipping books, 1945-1962 (one recipe book added to after her death), correspondence, books, and other documents relating to her life, interests and activities.

Ross Family

The series consists of textual records and photographs predominantly pertaining to Harold and Winnifred Ross, and to a lesser extent their daughter Jeane. The textual records includes postcards written from Winnie to some of her family and from Harold to Winnie shortly before they were married. Some photographs include other family members of the Ross and Thompson families. The records reflect Harold and Winnie’s life from coming west as young single adults, becoming a family in Edmonton before Harold went off to war, and Winnie’s later life on the farm in Millet.

Alexander J.H. McCauley Family

The series consists of records of Alexander J.H. McCauley, predominantly musical programmes, many of which list him as the pianist or accompanist. The other programmes where he is not listed, it is presumed these were concerts or performances that Alexander attended.

The series also includes a musical biography of Alexander’s son, William A. McCauley.

The series consists of records pertaining to Hannah Magee, predominantly regarding her teaching career. Photographs include Hannah, the family home at 6422 – 106 Street, and other members of the Magee family.

Hector Thompson

The series consists of Hector’s diaries, documenting his daily life of farming, as well as family and community events. Hector wrote in the diaries every day from 1 Jan 1936 to 11 Jul 1967. The records also include some invoices, receipts, and correspondence.
The photograph is of Hector with horses.

The series consists of a note and letters written by Margaret, and greeting cards given to her by her husband or children, as well as books belonging to Margaret and photographs of the Calder family including Margaret’s parents and sister.

The series consists of records pertaining to Alan’s military and legal careers, with a lesser extent to his acting and community involvement activities. The records include programmes, correspondence, writings by Alan, news clippings and photographs.

The series consists of family and business records for Samuel McCauley and his family.

The family papers include a family tree page and family history narratives.

The business records include booklets with the costs and amount of construction material used for various projects and clients, and photographs of some of the construction and hauling work done by Samuel McCauley and his crew.
