Kathleen Waddell fonds

The fonds consists predominantly of records from Kathleen Waddell’s time in the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service. They include one menu card for the Christmas Dinner 1943 of HMCS Stadacona and photographs of Kathleen as a Wren (EA-557-1 to EA-557-11).
There are also photographs of the 1915 flood of the North Saskatchewan River taken by Kathleen’s father, Robert Waddell (EA-557-12 to EA-557-14).

The fond consists of butter papers from the Huff Dairy, clippings related to the Huff family history, milk bottle top tabs, posters of the livestock sale in 1951, a souvenir program from the 1940 Edmonton Winter Carnival, a souvenir of the Edmonton Grads Basketball team, and a Royal Air Force Bowden Training School yearbook from ca. 1942. The fonds also includes photographs of Edmonton and the Edmonton area from the 1940s.

The fonds consists of manuscript histories of various Edmontonians including: James Pierce, Maurice Thomas (Buster) Pierce, Katherine Pierce Porret, Douglas Shortreed, Beverly Whitmore Brooker, the Mason family, Aniela Paskevich [Pazkiewicz], William John Gray, Gertie Huft, Teg Lewin, and Bill Brown. There is also a history, minutes and newsletter of the Edmonton Treasure Hunters (1982-1986) later called the Edmonton Metal Detector Club (1989-1993)
  • a souvenir program from the Edmonton Flying Club tribute to Tommy Fox, a documentation of bird migration patterns for Edmonton and area, and various papers of the Alberta Fish and Game Association, 1958-1993. Other magazines, almanacs and photographs are catalogued separately.
