Trudeau Family fonds

The fonds consists of correspondence and business papers of Cadillac Auto Livery Company, Sellick Bros. and Trudeau Auto Company and Trudeau Auto Co.; postcards to Aime Trudeau, a scrapbook created by Alice Trudeau relating to the French community news, French history, French society, French politicians and current events in Canada, and certificates of Denise Trudeau.
The books include Alberta Public School Geography (1925) (910 P c. 2); Arithmetic Book 1 and Book 2 by J. A. Smith (511 S); Dominion School Geography (910 D); Fashions of the Hour by Marshall Field and Co. (746 M); and One Hundred Short Sermons for the People on the Apostles' Creed Volume 1 by L. P. Gravel (252 G).
The photograph is of J.B. Taft, Canadian Government Land Guide, with a party of landseekers starting out for districts northwest of Edmonton [ca. 1905].

Frank Bernard Jamerson fonds

The fonds consists of a historical and biographical narrative handwritten by Frank Bernard Jamerson regarding Black immigration into western Canada as well as the Black experience in the prairies, specifically northern Alberta Black communities. The first file in the fonds consists of this narrative while the second file consists of newspaper clippings, family photographs, an anniversary booklet of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, and correspondence used by Jamerson in the creation of his narrative.

The records include correspondence, a flyer for his election run for alderman, booklets on Muslim pioneers in Northern Alberta, and cultural and religious association communications.

The fonds consists of the records of the Avenue of Nations Business Association from its creation until its disestablishment by City Bylaw. The records include minutes, agendas, budgets, project files, and photographs of events held or attended by the Association. These events included Annual General Meetings, Heritage Days Parades, Children’s Carnivals, Lunar New Year Celebrations. and Green Day Cleanup events. Also included are two street lamp banners bearing the Avenue of Nations logo that were hung on street lamps in the BRZ when the Association was active.

The fonds consists of records created during the Rossdale Flats Aboriginal Oral History Project, as well as the two volumes of the final report published in 2004. The project was undertaken in 2003, coinciding with the establishment of the Rossdale Burial Site Memorial. The objective of the project was to collect and transcribe the oral histories of Indigenous people and other individuals who have a historical relationship with the Rossdale Flats area. The twenty-seven participants were drawn from activists and advocates, including Elders, community members, residents, and historians, who wished to participate in the project to promote awareness of the significance of the site. The work was carried out by three researchers, Jacqueline Pelletier, Dianne Stretch-Strang, and Melanie Poole. Each file contains interview recordings, transcripts, and notes about the interviewee.

Also included in this fonds are records pertaining to the various charity donations and philanthropic activities of the Boreas Chapter, as well as their involvement in local initiatives such as Heritage Days.

The fonds consists of records relating to the activities of the Aurora Borealis Chapter 10 C.J. Order of AHEPA and includes correspondence, programmes, minutes, news clippings relating to special events and the Canadian Greek community, photographs, genealogical resources, and research materials gathered by Jean Pierre Van Eck, a member and Supreme Vice President of AHEPA Canada. Also included in the fonds are items relating to the membership of James Anton in the order. The photographs include portraits of groups and individuals that were members of AHEPA, as well as images taken during AHEPA events. Also included in the photographs are images of members of the wider Edmonton Greek community that might not have been members of AHEPA.
