Commonwealth Stadium was built for the eleventh Commonwealth Games in 1978. Located at 112 Avenue and Stadium Road, it is owned and operated by the City of Edmonton. The stadium is the home of the C.F.L. Eskimo Football Club and the N.A.S.L. Driller Soccer Team.
The L.R.T. tracks head straight to the heart of Edmonton's downtown core passing en route the red stands of Commonwealth Stadium. In the foreground is the racetrack at Northlands during the annual Klondike Days celebration.
