The fonds consists of photographs taken by Edgar Millen while serving in Canada’s north as an officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The photographs include images depicting the Arctic, where Millen was stationed, as well as several photos of Millen’s funeral and a cairn erected in his honour.

Edmonton Aboriginal Urban Affairs Committee fonds

The fonds consists of records created during the Rossdale Flats Aboriginal Oral History Project, as well as the two volumes of the final report published in 2004. The project was undertaken in 2003, coinciding with the establishment of the Rossdale Burial Site Memorial. The objective of the project was to collect and transcribe the oral histories of Indigenous people and other individuals who have a historical relationship with the Rossdale Flats area. The twenty-seven participants were drawn from activists and advocates, including Elders, community members, residents, and historians, who wished to participate in the project to promote awareness of the significance of the site. The work was carried out by three researchers, Jacqueline Pelletier, Dianne Stretch-Strang, and Melanie Poole. Each file contains interview recordings, transcripts, and notes about the interviewee.

Edmonton Chamber of Commerce fonds

The fonds consists of photographs from the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce's in-house collection. Many of the photographs are by the Byron-May Company, who were commissioned by the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce to create brochures promoting Edmonton as an up and coming city.

The photographs are of early Edmonton and include buildings, street scenes, city and farm scenes, animals, agriculture, people and events.

The fonds consists of material created or collected by Frederick Marshall, including records on McDougall Church, Rev. Rundle’s Mission in Alberta, patient newsletters from the Royal Alexandria Hospital, some promotional material for Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan, and handwritten reminiscences by Frederick Marshall.

The photographs include several photos of Indigenous men, women and children, including Chief Full Moon, Chief Duck and Chief Hector Crawler, and a photograph of George T. Montgomery, Mayor of Fort Saskatchewan.

The fonds also includes books and periodicals: St. Paul’s United Church Edmonton (287.9 PAU 1956), Canadian Born and Other Western Verse (819 AND 1913), Mission Among the Buffalo: The Labours of the Reverends George M. and John C. McDougall in the Canadian Northwest 1860-1876 (266.71 NIX) and Moccasin Telegraph: Magazine for HBC Fur Traders (1949 December, 1951 Winter, 1952 December).

This fonds consists of the slide presentation “An Edmonton Story” created by members of the Gateway Camera Club. In this project the club members were attempting to tell the story of Edmonton’s history and growth through photography. The textual records include instructions, presentation outline, slide index with names of providers, script (2 copies), tray lists of the slide presentation. There is also a recorded narration (audiotape) to accompany the slides.

The fonds consists of a handwritten account by G.D. Clark on the first fireworks display in Edmonton, held 1 July 1893 at the racetrack on the Hudson’s Bay Reserve lands. It includes references to Tommy Lauder and Bill Ibbotson.

Gerald M. Hutchinson fonds

This fonds consists of notes and articles prepared by G.M. Hutchinson relating to the work of Robert Rundle, who was one of a small group of missionaries who were sent to Canada by the Wesleyans (Methodists) in England in 1840. Rundle was the first Protestant missionary to reach the area which is now Alberta. His first headquarters was Fort Edmonton from where he traveled as far as Rocky Mountain House, the Bow River near the future site of Banff, and Beaver Lake. Shortly before he left Canada in 1848 he established a mission at Pigeon Lake, now known as the Rundle Mission.
The material was used in research for Rundle House at Fort Edmonton Park.
The fonds also includes a photograph of Rev. Robert Rundle and his bride, Mary Wolverson.

These records, as well as the books and maps, reflect Hollingworth's variety of interests.

The photographs cover a wide array of Edmonton including buildings and street scenes, activities and events, as well as people and businesses.
