This series contains correspondence sent to the Fire Department. It was arranged into files based on topic or sender. The correspondence reflects the relationship the Fire Department had with different levels of government, City departments, committees, and companies, and reflects the day-to-day work required for firefighting activities in Edmonton.
This series contains correspondence and other material relating to the parks and City facilities under the jurisdiction of the Parks Department.
This series contains copies of photographs donated to the Archives by the Edmonton Public Library. Photos 1 to 49 are images of individuals from the ca. 1914 publication Men and Makers of Edmonton. Photos 50 to 64 depict library facilities, programming, and staff. Photos 65 and 66 are early shots of the North Saskatchewan River.
This series contains correspondence to and from the department. There is also material which relates to later departmental policies and procedures.

This series contains two pieces of correspondence with the Village of North Edmonton regarding the purchase of land within the town.

This series contains records relating to the generation of funds by the City of Edmonton, including debentures, treasury bills, and bond coupons.
The Civic pension fund appears to have been started in 1930s. Units for pension savings were from employee wages through the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor, and after 1952 by the Comptroller's Department.
This series contains records relating to the purchase of units for the employees' pension fund. The series is comprised of calculations regarding expected pension fund contributions, and three ledgers detailing contributions, with employees listed by department. Information found within these ledgers includes name, date of birth, date of hire, pension premiums, termination of service record, and value of pension.
The series also includes correspondence regarding enlisted employees and records relating to the pension payments of civic employees enlisted in the armed forces during the Second World War.
