Reginald Horner fonds

The fonds consists of clippings, booklets and correspondence from Reg’s military career and an autobiography.
The photographs are of various groups, including the Rotary Club, Edmonton Historical Board, Northern Alberta Pioneers and Old Timers Association, Northern Alberta Diary Pool Social Club, McKay Avenue School and of the Selkirk Hotel.
The books include Tony Cashman’s “A Moving Story” (388.3 CAS) and “Memories Of A Pioneer Schoolteacher” by Maisie Emery Cook (923 COO).

This fonds consists of a menu card, a manuscript account of Peter Anderson’s escape from a prisoner-of-war camp in Germany during World War I; a letter written from the Bischofswerda camp to his son, Bert; humorous regimental orders and a uniform button for the 101st Edmonton Fusiliers (9th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force).
The photographs include Peter Anderson and family, Peter Anderson in military uniform and Sandison’s Brickyard.

Murray Huff fonds

The fond consists of butter papers from the Huff Dairy, clippings related to the Huff family history, milk bottle top tabs, posters of the livestock sale in 1951, a souvenir program from the 1940 Edmonton Winter Carnival, a souvenir of the Edmonton Grads Basketball team, and a Royal Air Force Bowden Training School yearbook from ca. 1942. The fonds also includes photographs of Edmonton and the Edmonton area from the 1940s.

The fonds consists predominantly of material relating to Mickey Macdonald's acting career, Alan Fraser Macdonald's legal and military career, and his involvement in community organizations, as well as their family life. The records include theatre programmes, correspondence, personal notes and writings, news clippings, and photographs.

To a lesser extent there are also records relating to other members of the extended Macdonald-Clifton families, particularly John Kenneth Macdonald and Therese Fraser Holland (Alan's parents), Henry Frances Holland and Selina Fraser (Alan's maternal grandparents), Faith Clifton (Mickey's mother), Bruce Fraser Macdonald (Alan's brother), Vernis McCuaig (Mickey's sister), and Brian Macdonald (Mickey and Alan's son).
