The fonds consists of materials largely related to the life and death of Robert M. Aitken. Although his early life in Edmonton is represented through his yearbooks and clippings regarding his sports activities with local leagues, the majority of the records focus on his military career beginning with the Royal Canadian Airforce (R.C.A.F.) through to his transfer to the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy. Besides material created by Robert in the course of his duties, records created by Marjory Aitken, his mother, are present throughout the fonds, most notably in letters received from correspondents regarding her son’s death. The photographs consist of images taken and collected by Marjory throughout Robert’s life, including of his childhood, military service, and eventual gravesite.
Aitken FamilyThe fonds consists of photocopied transcripts of letters and articles written by Ernest S. George and the certificate of membership of E.S. George to the Northern Alberta Pioneers and Old-Timers Association, Dec. 31, 1926. It also includes a photocopied transcript of an article by Barbara Mary George, Ernest George's mother. The photograph is a portrait of Ernest George, ca. 1962 that was used for an Edmonton Historical Board award in 1977.

The fonds consists of documents relating to the incorporation of the Edmonton Crèche Society, changes in name, and final disposition of funds, minute books, annual, committee and matron's reports, financial statements. Also included are scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, the gavel of the society, and the corporate seal of the society.
Edmonton Crèche and Day Nursery SocietyThe series consists of records pertaining to Alan’s military and legal careers, with a lesser extent to his acting and community involvement activities. The records include programmes, correspondence, writings by Alan, news clippings and photographs.
Macdonald, Alan FraserThe series consists of records predominantly reflecting Mickey’s acting career, including programmes, correspondence, news clippings and photographs. There are also records pertaining to family and Mickey’s foray into creative writing.
Macdonald, Marguerite Irene CliftonThis fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, and reports relating to the historical interests of Samuel Archibald Dickson, particularly his involvement in the campaign to restore/replicate Fort Edmonton in association with the Northern Alberta Pioneers and Old Timers Association (for which he also served as legal counsel), the Historical Society of Alberta, the Edmonton Museum Committee and the Edmonton Archives and Landmarks Committee. Also includes documentation regarding Samuel's appointment as commissioner to investigate political partisanship by government employees.
The photographs include Indigenous men, women and children as well as some scenes of Edmonton such as the official opening of Fort Edmonton Park in 1967, minstrel shows ca. 1921 and the demolition of the Tegler building in 1982.
This fonds also contains material related to the Rotary Club of Edmonton. Such material includes correspondence, histories, financial reports, membership information, and events.
Dickson, Samuel ArchibaldThe collection consists of personal items, photographs, stories, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings and memorabilia relating to the experiences of some Edmontonians in the Second World War. There are also two books – ‘The Royal Canadian Legion 1926-1986’ (369.271 ROY SWI 1986) and ‘Valour Remembered: Canada and the Second World War 1939-1945’ (940.540 GIE c. 2).
Edmonton Remembers VE DayThis fonds consists of a history of the Alban, Treals, Cartmell and Fry families, transit maps, an Alberta Railway timetable, a price list for Hazletts' store, and materials on the Edmonton Bird Club.
