This subseries contains all the correspondence of the Office of the City Commissioner from 1969 kept using the Uniterm filing system. Correspondence was given a Uniterm number as it arrived in the office regardless of the content. A ledger of all correspondence was maintained to serve as a finding aid for the records.
This fonds consists of materials which were collected and created by the City's Commissioners through their function of overseeing all aspects of City administration. The fonds includes correspondence with City staff, provincial and federal representatives, other municipalities, corporations, community groups and the general public. It also contains reports and financial records relating to various departments, memoranda, committee minutes, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, photos, maps, and architectural drawings.
An order has been imposed on the material. The arrangement includes 13 series and multiple subseries. The series are as follows:

This series contains items and attachments from City Council meetings. The meeting minutes have been digitized and indexed, and are available under RG-8.14.
Fonds consists of minutes, reports, correspondence, invoices, clippings, scrapbooks, bylaws, contracts, minutes, and records relating to voter and census enumeration.
An order has been imposed on the material. The arrangement includes multiple series. The first 10 (RG-8.0 - RG-8.9) were processed in the 1970s and 1980s. Due to the size of the collection, the processing archivist decided to create a new division for each accession. From the 1990s the records were processed and arranged based on function, as reflected from RG-8.10 onwards.
