This collection consists of records relating to the grieving process of Michelle Shegelski’s family in the aftermath of her passing. The records illuminate the challenges of losing a family member to homicide, as well as the challenges of grieving in the public eye given the highly publicized nature of Michelle’s passing. Records include news clippings about Michelle Shegelski, sympathy cards sent to the family, and materials about Michelle’s funeral and the memorial held for all three lost G4S guards. Also included in this collection is a series of records relating to victim and grief support for the family, largely from the Edmonton Police Service’s victim services unit. These documents include media training, preparation for entering the trial and court, victim impact statement information, and support groups for victims of homicide. This collection also includes one box of newspapers collected by the family related to the shootings, arrest and trial, and memorials following the incident.

Association records include The Aurora [オーロラ] newsletters, Moshi Moshi [もしもし] newsletters, Metro Edmonton Japanese Community School annual reports, and the History Project survey and oral history interviews and publications. There is also a directory of Japanese in Canada from 1941 and a film reel titled "Japanese Heritage in Alberta" from the Alberta Cultural Heritage Film Series.

These investigations include the Porter Royal Commission into civic mismanagement especially in regards to property speculation and profiteering by William Hawrelak, the Morrow Inquiry into bribing councilors including Aldermen Fallow and McLean, the disqualification of Mayor Hawrelak for violating the City Act in 1965, and the Nuclear Disarmament Referendum quashed by Mayor Purves. This series also includes the report of the form of City Government which proposed switching Edmonton to its current ward based system.
