Mabel Gertrude Ragan fonds

The fonds consists of records collected by Gertrude Ragain or used by her family, including:

  • an Edmonton Bulletin carrier's regular customer record book for Henry Ragan (son of Gertrude), October – December 1937;
  • booklet 'Rundle in Alberta 1840-1848', by The United Church of Canada; annual report, United Services Y.M.C.A. Club, March 17, 1943;
  • invitation, unveiling of Rundle's Mission plaque, September 12, 1965;
  • booklet 'The Rundle Adventure Story', by John Travis, 1968.
    The photographs include Earl Grey’s visit to Edmonton in 1909 and a portrait of Gertrude Ragan, ca. 1975, used for an Edmonton Historical Board award (1976).

Trudeau Family fonds

The fonds consists of correspondence and business papers of Cadillac Auto Livery Company, Sellick Bros. and Trudeau Auto Company and Trudeau Auto Co.; postcards to Aime Trudeau, a scrapbook created by Alice Trudeau relating to the French community news, French history, French society, French politicians and current events in Canada, and certificates of Denise Trudeau.
The books include Alberta Public School Geography (1925) (910 P c. 2); Arithmetic Book 1 and Book 2 by J. A. Smith (511 S); Dominion School Geography (910 D); Fashions of the Hour by Marshall Field and Co. (746 M); and One Hundred Short Sermons for the People on the Apostles' Creed Volume 1 by L. P. Gravel (252 G).
The photograph is of J.B. Taft, Canadian Government Land Guide, with a party of landseekers starting out for districts northwest of Edmonton [ca. 1905].

The fonds also includes a panoramic view of Edmonton in 1912 printed by Hamly Press in 1962, information about various Edmonton landmark buildings, a charcoal copy from a photograph of the First Chapel in Fort Edmonton built in 1869 and detailed notes on St. Joachim Church.

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by the Edmonton Chapter of the Y's Menettes between 1951 and 1965. The fonds consists of photographs, bulletins, regional conference and Western District material and papers mostly relating to annual fundraising teas held and include the names of honoured guests, such as Mrs. Elmer Roper. There is also a scrapbook which includes additional photographs, a tea poster, bulletins, newspaper clippings, convention material and financial statements.

The fonds consists of photos taken by Eric Bland for the Edmonton Bulletin in the last five years of the Bulletin’s existence (April 1947-January 1951) (EA-600). The photos include Edmonton personalities, accidents, events, clubs and societies, buildings (including churches, schools and hospitals), commerce, industry, transportation and military.
The fonds also includes images used in the publication 'Edmonton Bulletin Special Edition 1911' (EB-26). This publication gave a history of Edmonton to that point. The photographs include people, houses, buildings businesses, street scenes, bridges and transportation.
