The fonds consists of a historical and biographical narrative handwritten by Frank Bernard Jamerson regarding Black immigration into western Canada as well as the Black experience in the prairies, specifically northern Alberta Black communities. The first file in the fonds consists of this narrative while the second file consists of newspaper clippings, family photographs, an anniversary booklet of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, and correspondence used by Jamerson in the creation of his narrative.

The organizations represented in the records include the United Nations in Canada - Edmonton Branch, The Miles for Millions UN Association subcommittee, the Edmonton & District International Aid Society, UNICEF, the Public Education Committee, as well as the League of Nations.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the Edmonton Women's Health Collective from 1984 to 1989 and reflect some of the health care concerns facing women in the Edmonton area. Records include correspondence, administrative records, reports, minutes, newsletters, invoices, contact information and business cards from affiliated women's groups and organizations, brochures, and pamphlets. Also included in the fonds are clippings, a copy of the report Confronting the Problems of Homelessness in Edmonton, and issues of the Edmonton women's newsletter Movement.

This fonds contains a written history of the Edmonton Roughnecks Recreation Association, as well as photographs of the Roughnecks' various teams and members. The photographs have been described by Gregory Barker as part of a project in which he aimed to describe and identify the individuals in photographs present in MS-595, Series 7. The fonds consists of correspondence and contracts relating to the purchase of fire fighting equipment for the Edmonton Fire Department between 1907 and 1913, as well as pension and group life insurance arrangements for the Fire Department between 1956 and 1974. The published works include the Fire Department's annual reports to Mayor and Council and reference materials for fire fighting.
