This image was created by Randall Kabatoff and Steven Csorba as a project commemorating the 200th anniversary of Fort Edmonton. The image is a composite of a photo of Fort Edmonton taken in 1879 by George Dawson and a contemporary shot of Edmonton from 1995 taken by Kabatoff. Csorba merged the two images, placing Fort Edmonton in its approximate position. The image was then colourized and enhanced to blend the two time periods.

This architectural rendering was done in the 1970s as part of an unrealized proposal for a 102 Street Mall. The City had been looking at proposals to develop the area into a mall since at least 1968. The consultants behind this work were Barton - Aschman Associates, Inc. out of Evanston, Illinois. This firm did municipal planning work for cities around the world.
