This series of records is related to the Commissioners' roll of overseeing the financial affairs of the City. Financial matters include taxation and assessment, guarantee deposits for tenders, budgets and estimates, all records relating to accounting (except payroll -see Series 1 Subseries 6) and investments, including debentures, loans and the sinking fund. This series contains the following subseries:
2.1 Taxation and Assessment This subseries consists of records relating to the setting and collection of taxes for the City.
2.2 Budgets and Estimates This subseries contains records of the budgeting and accounting processes of the City by the Commissioners.
2.3 Investments This subseries includes the documents relating to the City's ability to raise and save funds.
This series contains records relating to the care and operation of municipally owned buildings and property in Edmonton. Included are project files from the office responsible for building maintenance between 1965 and 1969.
This series contains ledgers describing land purchased and owned by the City of Edmonton and used for conducting the business of the municipality, as well as certificates of ownership and duplicate certificates of title for select municipal properties.
This sub-series consists of over 2000 clippings files related to business units in the City of Edmonton. It also includes files on municipal elections, mayors and council, City facilities and parks, roads, utilities, unions, awards, programs and services, and neighbourhoods.
The series consists of daily journals, 1906-1918, 1937-1950, scrapbooks and recipe clipping books, 1945-1962 (one recipe book added to after her death), correspondence and other documents relating to her life, interests and activities.
