This series consists of minute ledgers and officer roll books from the Unity Rebekah Lodge No. 26. The Lodge was established on July 30, 1912 in Strathcona, Alberta before the town was amalgamated into Edmonton. In 2008, Unity Rebekah Lodge No. 26 ceased individual operations after its consolidation with Maple Leaf Rebekah Lodge No. 2.
The assessment and collection of taxes for the provision of basic municipal services was done by the Town Assessor. This role was under the Secretary-Treasurer until at least 1958, though by 1962 the Assessor reported directly to Town Council. The Assessor completed a yearly survey of property owners and recorded the information in ledgers in order to set tax rates based on income.
This series consists of material related to the assessment of various municipal taxes. Each tax assessment sheet captures the name of the landholder and information pertaining to their income and property. The tax assessments were undertaken by neighborhood. A summary of assessment was created for the period of 1960-1964. The material has been placed in alphabetical order by neighborhood.
This series contains correspondence to and from the department. There is also material which relates to later departmental policies and procedures.
This series contains reports from the Finance Department, it's predecessors and successors. This material was mostly collected as discrete items.
In the 1960s, the Archives and Landmarks Committee conducted oral history interviews of several Edmontonians including private citizens and retired City staff. When the City of Edmonton Archives was formed in 1971, the Archives took over the project and continued with the interviews, eventually expanding the scope of the project to encompass contemporary City Councillors and Mayors.
Sin títuloThe Board of Examiners and Appeals From the City of Edmonton Building Code was established in 1935 through the Edmonton Building Code Bylaw (#781). The Board was responsible for determining the suitability of alternate materials and means of construction and providing reasonable interpretation of the Building Code. By the mid-1950s the Board was also hearing appeals from decisions of the Building Inspector as they related to the Building Code. Issues would be forwarded to the Board via a City Commissioner or by the Building Inspector. The decisions of the Board were final. The Board was appointed by Council, and consisted of members who were knowledgeable about building practices. By the 1950s this included the Fire Marshall and representatives of the Edmonton House Builder's Association, the Edmonton Builder's Exchange, the Alberta Architect's Association, and the Association of Professional Engineers of Alberta.
This series consists of the papers of Alderman Ed Leger, who served on the Edmonton City Council from 1958 to 1986. The majority of the material originates from after the 1977 municipal election. The records consist of material sent to Leger in his role as alderman, as well as in his roles in various committees and boards in which he participated as a representative of the City Council.

This subseries consists of records relating to the provision of green space for Edmontonians, including attractions such as the zoos, camping, and cemeteries.
7.2 Recreation Facilities
This subseries consists of records relating to organizations and facilities providing sports and recreation opportunities for the citizens of Edmonton.
7.3 Health and Emergency Services
This subseries consists of records relating to organizations and facilities providing health care services to Edmontonians. Also included are records relating to emergency services: firefighting, police, and ambulance provision.
7.4 Welfare
This subseries consists of records relating to the City's programs to assist Edmontonians who require support for their day-to-day living.
This series consists of two sub-series: the Edmonton Roughnecks Recreation Association (ERRA) and a subseries of Sporting Associations/Gay Games records. The ERRA records include administrative files, promotional materials, tournament information, and framed and matted team photographs. There are also photographs of social activities, and a framed set of volleyball tournament medals. Included are items of ERRA clothing, including a tee shirt, baseball pants, and baseball socks. The gay games are represented in 6 files (dating 1984-1994), and there is 1 file concerning the Gay and Lesbian Sports Council of Edmonton. Finally there are two files documenting two fundraising events that featuring Olympic athlete, Mark Tewksbury.
