Loren Chabot (1954-2010) was a well-known artist in Edmonton. He studied painting from a young age at Shepy School of Art, and later at Sheridan College in Ontario. Upon returning to Edmonton he sold paintings at the Strathcona Farmers Market, and his works are seen throughout Edmonton in private and public collections.
The series consists of materials produced by the Women's Society of the Edmonton Art Gallery including agendas, minutes, reports, membership lists, bylaws and constitution. Also included in the series are photographs.

The photographs consist of family and friends, farming and business activities, events and street scenes of Edmonton.

The series consists of agendas, minutes, correspondence and supporting documentation relating to Richard York Secord’s service on the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, 1959-1968, the Edmonton Archives and Landmarks Committee/Edmonton Historical Board, 1964-1972, the Alberta Heritage Sites Board, 1973-1976, and the Fort Edmonton Foundation, 1970-1975.
There is also personal and business correspondence, including correspondence relating to the Secord family history, as well as research material, correspondence and manuscripts relating to the Richard Henry Secord biography and Richard York Secord memoirs.
The photographs and books reflect many aspects of Richard Y. Secord’s activities and interests.

- File 1: Article titled 'The Big Hotel' by Lillian Maze about the Columbia Stopping House, which was published in the Edmonton Journal (1953) and formed the basis of an article published in the Spring 1964 edition of The Alberta Historical Review. There is also a souvenir booklet 'Souvenir of the Edmonton Schools - Issued at the Opening of the High School, May 9, 1911' (1911). The Edmonton High School was later known as Victoria School.
- File 2: Painting by Lillian Maze's daughter and Edmonton Art Club member Kathleen Anne Elizabeth (Betty) Hickey titled "Columbia Stopping House". The building was located at the corner of Grierson (101A Avenue) and 96 Street. The painting was formerly described as EAA-66-1.
The photographs include EA-512-1: a portrait of Lillian Maze [ca. 1980] and EA-512: a photograph of Columbia House [ca. 1910].

It includes correspondence, a scrapbook collection containing news clippings on members of the Northern Alberta Pioneers' and Old Timers' Association and other prominent people and places in Alberta's history, brochures and programs relating to historical groups and cultural events in Edmonton and Strathcona. The photographs include the Rutherford home, Edmonton and district buildings, events, family members and friends as well as a military panorama (EA-82, EA-10-353, EA-10-2251). There are also maps and books on Edmonton, and a watercolour painting of McKay Avenue School.
