The fonds consists of a historical and biographical narrative handwritten by Frank Bernard Jamerson regarding Black immigration into western Canada as well as the Black experience in the prairies, specifically northern Alberta Black communities. The first file in the fonds consists of this narrative while the second file consists of newspaper clippings, family photographs, an anniversary booklet of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, and correspondence used by Jamerson in the creation of his narrative.

This fonds consists of the administrative records of Orlando Books, including invoices, rental agreements, correspondence, a visitor log book, newspaper clippings and records relating to the opening and closing of Orlando Books. Additionally, this fonds contains substantial records relating to Edmonton’s queer community, including the Vriend v. Alberta case, activism in Edmonton, the OK Awareness Campaign, the EPOCH project, and the development of the “Safe and Caring Schools for Lesbian and Gay Youth: A Guide for Teachers” pamphlet distributed by the Alberta Teachers Association. Also included in this fonds are a number of photographs, as well as newspaper clippings and articles about the bookselling and publishing industries.

This fonds consists of records pertaining to the Lady Aberdeen League from 1964 to 1996 including meeting minutes, correspondence, insurance records, and financial records. Also included in the fonds are correspondence with children the League sponsored through the Foster Parents Plan of Canada. The financial records include ledgers, receipts, invoices, and statements. These records align with the main function of the League, which was to provide financial support to charitable organizations. The fonds also consists of an Ice Capades program the League sold, certificates, and a history of the League.

The records contained in this fonds provide insight into how real estate and construction business was conducted in Edmonton's early history. In addition, these records showcase how very interconnected the prominent families of Edmonton's early history were.
