1.1 Bylaws and Licenses
This subseries contains correspondence, drafts, final copy, and enforcement regulations relating to bylaws and licenses enacted in the city.

1.2 Elections and Census
This subseries contains correspondence, drafts, promotional materials, information circulars, and other materials relating to elections and census studies held in the city.

1.3 Shared Management Services
This subseries contains records which deal with the number of services which were provided to many or all of the City's departments. This includes printing services, advertising and promotions, communications, information technology (IT) services, the Civic Garage, the legal department, the stores and works department, and the coordination of civic special events (such as VIP visits, anniversary celebrations and commemorations of historic events).

1.4 Mayor / Council Inquiries & Correspondence
This subseries contains correspondence, to and from the Mayor, Commissioners, and Councilors relating to issues raised for council action, including complaints and inquiries.

1.5 Departmental Reports / Policies
This subseries contains reports prepared by City departments, and policies and procedures they proposed to be approved by the Councilors.

1.6 Personnel / City Employees
This subseries contains correspondence and procedures dealing with city employees, including negotiations with unions, contract staff, benefits, and attendance at conferences.

1.7 Advisory and Standing Committees
This subseries contains correspondence, reports, action requests, and other administrative materials relating to committees struck by and reporting to City Council.

Note that duplicates of these reports are also found in RG-11 Series 10.2, with the monthly Departmental reports and statistics and Engineering Department summaries often attached as addendum to the Commissioner's reports

This series consists of records related to the operational functions of the Garneau Community League. At the head of the community league was the executive committee which was elected by the registered members of the community league. The manager of the Garneau Community Centre reported to the executive committee along with the heads of the various sub-committees and clubs such as the Planning Committee and the Tennis and Lawn Bowling clubs. The executive committee was responsible for many of the initiatives undertaken by the League such as the Street Signs Project and organizing the programs that took place at the Centre. This series contains minutes, reports, correspondence, grant applications, contracts, newsletters, and programmes. These records provide context for the Community League’s role within the community and within Edmonton as a city. Also included are documents concerning leasing of the Garneau Community Centre to Catalyst Theatre.

The series consists of textual records and photographs predominantly pertaining to Harold and Winnifred Ross, and to a lesser extent their daughter Jeane. The textual records includes postcards written from Winnie to some of her family and from Harold to Winnie shortly before they were married. Some photographs include other family members of the Ross and Thompson families. The records reflect Harold and Winnie’s life from coming west as young single adults, becoming a family in Edmonton before Harold went off to war, and Winnie’s later life on the farm in Millet.

This series consists of documents related to the regular operation of the Foundation. Included in this series are minutes and agendas of the Board of Directors and various committees that reported to the Board, incorporation records, bylaws and their amendments, financial statements, budgets, annual general meetings including annual reports, correspondence, and other documents pertaining to the larger operation of the Foundation. The documents in this series have been arranged to roughly correspond to their subject matter. For example, files related to the Princess Theatre’s operation are grouped together though there may be some documents with higher file numbers to reflect later accruals to the collection.

The scrapbook was compiled by Mary Wankel Dornan and Mae Bedard Green, and includes reminiscences on early Edmonton as well as family and community histories covering predominantly 1890-1955.

In 1985 the Edmonton Police Department Museum and Archives opened to the public. Located at Edmonton Police Headquarters, the museum was established to represent the history of law enforcement in Alberta. It was funded by Alberta Culture, the Alberta Museum Association and by private and corporate sponsors, and staffed by volunteers from the Police Department and a curator paid for by grants. By 1997 the museum had closed and the collection was absorbed by Edmonton Police Services.

The series consists of 7 pawn shop ledgers, one file of material found in the ledger of a second hand shop, and 3 photos of Alex Decoteau.
