LaFlèche Bros. Inc fonds

The fonds consists of business records of LaFlèche Brothers Inc. and its predecessors, including LaFlèche Brothers; LaFlèche Brothers, Limited; and LaFlèche Wholesale Tailoring Company, Limited, and of related companies including Westcraft System of Tailoring. The records cover the entire period of the business was open, from 1906 to 2007, although some periods have more surviving records than others. The records provide evidence of the Edmonton operation of LaFlèche Bros. as well as the business' Calgary and Vancouver branches.

The material includes administrative records relating to the Board of Directors, company policies, financial records, ledgers, property records, manufacturing and sales records. There is also a variety of promotional records including print advertisements and newspaper articles, promotional letters, advertisement proofs, radio spot recordings, and metal templates. There is also a series of records relating to the company's 2005-2006 centennial.

The fonds also contains records related to other interests of various members of the LaFlèche family. These include records from J. A. LaFlèche's other business ventures including Claynett Limited, Beauharnois Power Corporation, Limited, and La-Van-Co Limited. There is also records of the Edmonton Optimist Club from Louis F. LaFlèche's 1943 term as club President. There is a few files of Mae E. LaFlèche's personal records.

Edmonton Elks Football Club fonds

This fonds includes records dealing with the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club, including game programs, media guides and fact books, bound hardcover team scrapbooks with media clippings dating from 1880-2007, ephemera including material relating to Peggy Miller (a CJCA promotion manager and an advocate for the Eskimos) as well as Canadian Football League publications such as rules manuals, statistics books, records manuals, and media guides for various Canadian teams.
The audio-visual material includes a video of highlights from Eskimos' 1954-55-56 Grey Cups and four films of the 1973, 1974, and 1981 Grey Cups and 1978 Schenley Awards. The photographs include various players, teams and games from 1892 to 1985.

Edmonton Kennel Club fonds

The fonds consists of minutes, financial statements, newsletters, photographs, objects, moving images, and catalogues of events and dog shows the Edmonton Kennel Club held, and helped organize, throughout the twentieth century. The fonds also consists of commemorative material created to celebrate achievements of the Club’s members, such as for birthdays or anniversaries, in the form of scrapbooks and certificates. Also included are objects gathered by Edmonton Kennel Club members who performed judicial duties for dog shows hosted by the Edmonton Kennel Club, as well as for other organizations across the world.

The photographs of the fonds are images primarily taken of the Club’s dog shows with a smaller number of images drawn from the Club’s various social activities.

This fonds consists of the administrative records of the Jazz City Festival Society, including year-end financial statements, grant applications, venue and musician contracts, musician immigration and payment records, sponsorship correspondence and contracts, volunteer reports, and many festival planning documents. Additionally, this fonds contains press coverage from Jazz City, Jazz City programs, and several records relating to the promotion of Jazz City including t-shirts, posters, pins, and felt patches. Also included are photographs of artists and the festival, as well as VHS tapes with interviews and advertisements for Jazz City.

The fonds consists of records created during the Rossdale Flats Aboriginal Oral History Project, as well as the two volumes of the final report published in 2004. The project was undertaken in 2003, coinciding with the establishment of the Rossdale Burial Site Memorial. The objective of the project was to collect and transcribe the oral histories of Indigenous people and other individuals who have a historical relationship with the Rossdale Flats area. The twenty-seven participants were drawn from activists and advocates, including Elders, community members, residents, and historians, who wished to participate in the project to promote awareness of the significance of the site. The work was carried out by three researchers, Jacqueline Pelletier, Dianne Stretch-Strang, and Melanie Poole. Each file contains interview recordings, transcripts, and notes about the interviewee.
