The fonds consists of materials created and gathered by Richard Awid in his research on the Arab pioneers of Northern Alberta and of Muslim families in the Edmonton area. The records include correspondence, a flyer for his election run for alderman, booklets on Muslim pioneers in Northern Alberta, and cultural and religious association communications.

This fonds consists of the Planned Parenthood Association of Edmonton (P.P.A.E.)’s Archive, which was created to capture the history and the important records relating to birth control, sexuality, health, and sex education in Canada between 1964 - 1999. Their Archive contains news clippings, reports, resource guides, and newsletters. In addition to the P.P.A.E. Archive, this fonds also contains correspondence, meeting minutes, volunteer information, annual reports, and promotional material relating to the P.P.A.E..

This fonds consists of a menu card, a manuscript account of Peter Anderson’s escape from a prisoner-of-war camp in Germany during World War I; a letter written from the Bischofswerda camp to his son, Bert; humorous regimental orders and a uniform button for the 101st Edmonton Fusiliers (9th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force).
The photographs include Peter Anderson and family, Peter Anderson in military uniform and Sandison’s Brickyard.
This fonds consists of land records and development permits for properties later annexed by the City of Edmonton. Some have correspondence, site plans, or architectural drawings included.

Additionally, this fonds contains substantial records relating to Edmonton’s queer community, including the Vriend v. Alberta case, activism in Edmonton, the OK Awareness Campaign, the EPOCH project, and the development of the “Safe and Caring Schools for Lesbian and Gay Youth: A Guide for Teachers” pamphlet distributed by the Alberta Teachers Association. Also included in this fonds are a number of photographs, as well as newspaper clippings and articles about the bookselling and publishing industries.
