  • Tough Going Ahead - Eskimos' regular defensive safety Oscar Kruger, who saw action on the offensive half line for the first thime this season at Winnipeg last night along with four other homebrew backs, found the Bombers a sharp-tackling lot on this punt runback midway through the third quarter. 'Peg's Garland Warren is latched on to Oscar while Cornel Piper moves in for the kill. Esks in the background are halfbacks Jo-Bob Smith and Leigh McMillan, also members of the suicide squad. Mainly using an all-Canadian backfield, Esks lost 43-13 (newspaper clipping).
