The textual records reflect Hollingworth’s business and photography work, as well as his family and household life. There are also records where it is not known how they are specifically related to Hollingworth, so it has been assumed he collected the pieces. These records, as well as the books and maps, reflect Hollingworth's variety of interests.

The photographs cover a wide array of Edmonton including buildings and street scenes, activities and events, as well as people and businesses.

The photograph records are divided into two series:
Series 1 – Hollingworth Photographs.
Series 2 – Glass Slide Photographs.

Often these donations had little or no provenance, however were considered to be historically relevant enough to preserve. The collection consists of materials collected by Lou Marsh and created between 1939 and 1988. The collection consists of publications relating to the rail transportation system in Alberta. Several brochures relate to the Edmonton Streetcar System. Also included: articles, clippings, brochures and copies of newspapers or magazines relating to the 1987 tornado in Edmonton, Royal visits, sports events, antique collections, trolley cars, railroads, and railway history. There are also minutes, bylaws, correspondence and the newsletter of the Studebaker Drivers Club Inc., Edmonton Chapter.

The fonds consists of certificates for Halley's Comet 1986 sighting, a copy of the site profile on the 1908 house in downtown Edmonton later converted into a restaurant called Vi's and information on the Oliver area. Another accrual in 2010 contained documents used for site profiles on the Canadian Furniture Company, Armstrong Drug Store, W.W. Arcade, Mike's News, Pantages (Strand) Theatre and the Princess Theatre.
