The collection consists of original material removed from the City of Edmonton Archives Clippings collection.

The fonds consists predominantly of the records of Florence Jean Cahill, including school and teaching records, memorial card and letters from family. There are also photographs of some members of the Cahill and O’Callaghan families, including Cliff Cahill (a cousin from the United States who was killed in action in France, 1918), Everett Cahill (a cousin in the UK Royal Flying Corps in 1917), and Walter O’Callaghan’s parents, Bridget and Edward O’Callaghan.

The fonds consists of materials created by Frank Oliver including published and unpublished speeches and newspapers, correspondence, and typescripts of various newspaper articles relating to Frank Oliver.

The fonds consists predominantly of records detailing George Guild’s life and business. It includes:

• a copy of "The Super Calendar" published by The Pusey and Jones Corporation at Wilmington, Delaware, that includes a letter written by George Guild about being a ‘one man’ mill and a photo of the Pioneer Paper Mill, 1928,
• certificate of Caveat of Patent for George K. Guild, Dominion of Canada, 1936,
• sample of paper fibre, presumably created by George Guild, [ca. 1936]
• clipping re Pioneer Paper Mill, from The Pulp and Paper Mills of Canada and Newfoundland, [ca. 1936],
• a manuscript, ‘History of George Guild, operator and owner of Canada's "One Man" mill’, [ca. 1961], unknown author.

The fonds consists of research materials collected or created by Gilda Rath. The records generally relates to three themes: excerpts from the Edmonton Bulletin 1880-1882, and the Saskatchewan Herald, 1879-1882; the story of the Lamoureux family from their origins in Quebec to their settlement in the Edmonton district; and translations of correspondence from the Oblate Archives relating to members of the order and to the history of the Edmonton area.
Also included is information on First Nations, Metis, steamboat transportation on the North Saskatchewan, and notes and excerpts from other sources. The research material appears to have been accumulated for a book on the history of French settlement in North America and the Canadian northwest, focusing on the Lamoureux family. A partial typescript of this work is included in the fonds. Some of the notes are transcripts from tape recordings, but the original tapes are not present.

The fonds consists of a letter to Gretchen Clink from Ruth (Matheson) Buck, 17 Aug 1967. The letter includes some reminiscences of their time in Battleford together, as well as the activities of Ruth and her sisters, ‘The Matheson Girls’, to celebrate the 1967 Expo.

There is also a 1971 note and letter from Gretchen to Cam Finlay, the then Director of the City of Edmonton Archives. The note and letter include some information and reminiscences by Gretchen of some noted Edmontonians and Albertans, (Mrs. John T. Robertson, Dr. William M. McKay, J.W. & J.B. Tyrrell, Colin Fraser, Fred Rowland, and Alex Rowland).

Gretchen’s note also includes a pitch promoting Maclean Hunter’s historical map which, at the time, was given complimentary with a McLean’s subscription.

The fonds consists of invitations, programmes, pamphlets, greeting cards, newspaper clippings, and miscellaneous material relating to Mary Hamilton, her mother Eliza Hamilton and brother Robert Hamilton. The photographs include Mary (Maisie) Hamilton and her family and friends.

The series consists of records pertaining to Hannah Magee, predominantly regarding her teaching career. Photographs include Hannah, the family home at 6422 – 106 Street, and other members of the Magee family.

The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Hazel McCuaig. It includes correspondence, a scrapbook collection containing news clippings on members of the Northern Alberta Pioneers' and Old Timers' Association and other prominent people and places in Alberta's history, brochures and programs relating to historical groups and cultural events in Edmonton and Strathcona. The photographs include the Rutherford home, Edmonton and district buildings, events, family members and friends as well as a military panorama (EA-82, EA-10-353, EA-10-2251). There are also maps and books on Edmonton and one watercolour drawing of McKay Avenue School (EAA-92-1).

The series consists of Hector’s diaries, documenting his daily life of farming, as well as family and community events. Hector wrote in the diaries every day from 1 Jan 1936 to 11 Jul 1967. The records also include some invoices, receipts, and correspondence.
