The fonds consists of photographs of Edmonton taken by Eric R. Crouch. They include skylines, buildings, bridges, the Legislative Grounds and various cityscapes taken from the roofs of downtown buildings.

This fonds contains photos of Edmonton Transit equipment and Luna Gas in the 1950s, and construction and tunneling related to the creation of the LRT downtown in the 1970s.

The fonds consists of pamphlets and textual material that John had collected on public art. The photographs cover places of worship, public art, bridges, public buildings, shopping centres, streetscapes and the demolition of several buildings in Edmonton and area.

This fonds contains copies of photos donated by the Edmonton Public Library, as well as reports written by the Edmonton Public Library, and early architectural drawings of the proposed Civic Centre. It has been divided into the following three series:
