Edna Kells fonds

The fonds of materials created or collected by Edna Kells, including fiction and non-fiction manuscripts as well as notes and clippings pertaining to these manuscripts. There are numerous short manuscripts and two book size manuscripts; one a source book of early Alberta history and one entitled "Those Wonderful McDougall Women". Most of the material deals with the pioneer history of Alberta.

Edward Bell fonds

The fonds consists of Edward Bell’s account of becoming a teacher and then principal of Bennett School, including teaching in the school’s temporary accommodations on the second floor of a house in 1912 while awaiting construction of the school building. The Bennett School moved into their new building on Gallagher flats in the spring of 1913.
The photograph is of the temporary classroom that was used before the Bennett School building was opened.

The fonds consists of a hand written history of the Egge family, including moving from Edmonton to Halfway Lake on the Athabasca Trail, possibly partly written by Les Egge (the text is in two handwritings).
Photographs include the Egge stopping house and other stopping houses on Athabasca Landing Trail, Egge farm, members of Egge extended family, freighters and other travellers, other individuals associated with the Athabasca Landing Trail district.
The records include references to Edith Benner, Clara Egge, Jessie Egge, Jack Flyn, Percy Hardisty, Albert Kennedy, Karl Kirstin, Jack Lord, Bill Reynolds, Mr. Strutton, Jack Sulley and Ed Williams.

The fonds consists of materials created and collected by Eirene Hebb and dating from 1882-1985. The fonds consists of correspondence, photographs, clippings, essays, city plans and research notes pertaining to the Old Glenora area including: the H. M. E. Evans, James Carruthers, Biggar, Gillespie, Kinnard, James Kennedy Cornwall, Jeremiah Heffernan, Charles Wilson Cross, Pike, John Thompson Stirling, and the Kerr families. Generally the houses were known by the family name but some were given individual names such as: Sterlingswood also spelled Stirlingswood, the Villa and Sylvancroft. There is also a copy of "North with Peace River Jim" (971.23/KEL)

The Edmonton & District Dental Society is a professional organization for dental professionals in the Edmonton region which focuses on providing professional education, networking opportunities and promoting dentistry as a profession.
Arthur Benjamin Mason was a highly respected dentist and considered to be one of the earliest dentists in the Edmonton area.

It also includes a manuscript for the book and her ink and watercolour illustrations for each chapter, a series of historical paintings of Edmonton and area, records relating to her work for the City of Edmonton Archives and Landmarks Committee, and miscellaneous correspondence, sketches, and notes.
The photographs include various Edmonton scenes, the Walker family and friends as well as photographs of her paintings and woodcut prints of images used for her book.
The artwork includes her original paintings and two sculptures.
