The fonds consists of correspondence and interviews relating to the research for her historical novel, 'Fortress North'. It also includes a manuscript for the book and her ink and watercolour illustrations for each chapter, a series of historical paintings of Edmonton and area, records relating to her work for the City of Edmonton Archives and Landmarks Committee, and miscellaneous correspondence, sketches, and notes.
The photographs include various Edmonton scenes, the Walker family and friends as well as photographs of her paintings and woodcut prints of images used for her book.
The artwork includes her original paintings and two sculptures.

The fonds consists of records relating to the Urban Reform Group of Edmonton (URGE), including production of a 1978 historical calendar, Board minutes, reports and correspondence. It also contains records relating to the Society for the Protection of Architectural Resources in Edmonton (SPARE) and personal correspondence.
The photographs consist mostly of buildings and street scenes in Edmonton and Toronto, ca. 1980, taken as part of research into heritage buildings for SPARE. They include the Ross Brothers and Brighton Block in Edmonton, and the St. Lawrence Market and Gooderham Building (flatiron) in Toronto (EA-560). One photograph is a portrait of Elly De Jongh used for an Edmonton Historical Board award in 1984.
The artwork consists of an ink drawing of Primrose House, 1979, as part of research on heritage buildings for SPARE (EAA-113).

The fonds consists of political papers relating to Dr. Roper's tenure as Mayor of Edmonton from 1959 to 1963.
The photographs are from an album, presented to Elmer Roper by Chief Constable M.F.C. Anthony, commemorating the official opening of Police Headquarters Building, October 16, 1962.
The textual material was arranged as follows:

  • General Correspondence, containing invitations and acknowledgements; complaints and compliments, and general commentaries on civic business; also includes files created by his immediate predecessors as mayor, William Hawrelak, mayor until his resignation in September 1959 and F.J. The fonds consists of a series of scrapbooks compiled by Emily Murphy covering all aspects of her varied career and dating from 1906 to 1933. The records include correspondence, reports and other material relating to her work as a magistrate as well as manuscripts of some of her many articles. Some of the material relating to Mrs. Murphy was collected by her daughter, Evelyn Gowan Murphy, after Mrs. Murphy died. Scrapbooks include clippings concerning the death of Arthur Murphy and the lives of Evelyn and her sister, Emily Kenwood.
The photographs include 2 of Emily Murphy and 2 of dust jackets from her books “Janey Canuck In The West” and “Open Trails”.
