The fonds also includes photographs though it is not certain how the photographs relate to Dr. Holmes. The photos include group portraits (University of Alberta Drama Club 1922-1923, Canadian Officers Training Corps 1925-1926, University of Alberta Freshman Class 1921-1922), a panorama photograph of the Al Azhar Convention in Calgary, 1913 and a photograph of the visit of Alice of Athlone to the Colonel Mewburn Hospital, 1941.

The fonds consists of personal papers and business records of some members of the McCauley family, including Matthew McCauley, his children Alexander James Henry McCauley and Julia Alberta McCauley Norquay, and his grandson William Alexander McCauley. There are also records of Matthew’s brothers Samuel and Alexander.

The records include family trees and a family history narrative of the McCauley family 1824 to 1965. There are also records from the businesses run by Matthew, Samuel and Alexander.
