This fonds consists of minutes, agendas, financial statements, project reports, research files, grant information, correspondence, program documentation, posters, photographs, and certificates created by the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters Society. Some electronic material is present in the fonds. A note in the file title has been added where a digital carrier is present. A note has also been added to the titles of files that may contain photographic images or negatives.

In addition to the administrative files of the Society, there are also records of the various programs and initiatives that the Society spearheaded or participated in. These files include the Bike Registration Program, Lunar Cycle and Bike Month, Bike Workshops, Bikes on Buses, Cycle-Able City, and Rails to Trails (R2T).

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the operations and functions of the Edmonton Society for Urban and Architecture Studies (ESUAS). The fonds includes correspondence, minutes, financial records, reports, project documentation, grant applications, event programs, and posters. Also included in the fonds are sound recordings of Brian Allsopp's lecture and another architect's lecture given during the ESUAS' Architecture Lecture Series in 1995.

This series consists of periodical publications produced by the Edmonton Social Planning Council (E.S.P.C.). First Reading was a newsletter publication that began in 1982 with the goal of informing members of the E.S.P.C. and the public about social policies under consideration by the government and the potential implications of such policies. The newsletter ran until 1998. Alberta Facts, which later became Edmonton Facts, was an insert in the First Reading newsletter. It later became an insert published four times a year in Vue Weekly, an alternative newspaper published in Edmonton.

The series consists of newsletters produced by the Society of Western Canadian Artists (formerly the Federation of Canadian Artists, Alberta Region, Edmonton Branch) and the Federation of Canadian Artists. The series also consists of newsletters from the Calgary Branch of the Federation of Canadian Artists, these represent the activities and the collaborations that took place as members of the Alberta Region of the federation. Also included in the series are materials pertaining to the writing and printing of the newsletters including drafts and mock ups.

This collection consists of the records of Womonspace from their formal incorporation in 1982 until the last newsletter was published in 2011. The records include meeting minutes, monthly newsletters, event planning, and financial reports. Additionally, numerous records relating to the local and national LGBTQ+ communities are included, such as the GALA Human Rights Committee and GALA Week, as well as LGBTQ+ business guides. Also included are numerous newspaper clippings related to Womonspace and the LGBTQ+ community.

This fonds consists of the records of the Northern Alberta Wood Carvers Association. The records consist of the Association's History Record Book scrapbook, newsletters, carving guides, administration documents, meeting minutes, photographs of carving show entries, and cartoons designed for the Association's newsletter. This series consists of records primarily created by The Vocal Minority Music Society, and includes administrative records as well as records around their activities and associations. There is a collection of published music and a file of photographs related to both the VMS and EVM. Included with the papers are EVM programs and GALA Festival information along with one EVM newsletter

This series consists of two sub-series: the Edmonton Roughnecks Recreation Association (ERRA) and a subseries of Sporting Associations/Gay Games records. The ERRA records include administrative files, promotional materials, tournament information, and framed and matted team photographs. There are also photographs of social activities, and a framed set of volleyball tournament medals. Included are items of ERRA clothing, including a tee shirt, baseball pants, and baseball socks. The gay games are represented in 6 files (dating 1984-1994), and there is 1 file concerning the Gay and Lesbian Sports Council of Edmonton. Finally there are two files documenting two fundraising events that featuring Olympic athlete, Mark Tewksbury.

This fonds contains a written history of the Edmonton Roughnecks Recreation Association, as well as photographs of the Roughnecks' various teams and members. The photographs have been described by Gregory Barker as part of a project in which he aimed to describe and identify the individuals in photographs present in MS-595, Series 7. As a result, some of the photographs in this fonds are duplicates of photographs in MS-595, Series 7. Also included are Gregory Barker's digital copies of all records in the fonds.
