Edmonton's 75th Anniversary CommitteeThis series contains correspondence files from the Public Relations Department. The majority of the files are subject files. However, there are also some files of general correspondence, as well as correspondence around requests for financial contributions through the Department's hosting program.
This series contains the records created by the City's RCMP Centennial Committee. It includes meeting minutes, correspondence, and photographs relating to the activities undertaken by the Committee in celebrating the RCMP's 100th anniversary. Events included commemorative markers, a display at City Hall, artwork by sculptor John Weaver, a special event at Fort Edmonton Park, and a commemorative church service at All Saints' Anglican Cathedral. The Committee also became responsible for a delegation sent to Calgary to honour that municipality's 100th anniversary as a City in 1975.

This image presents the last members of the Commission Board before it was dissolved in 1984. Commissioners were executives of the City government who oversaw operations in a number of departments to assist the Mayor (who usually oversaw the Financial Dept). In 1984 the Commissioners were transitioned into the City Manager's Office and Deputy City Managers except for Thomas Adams, who retired.
