The fonds consists of certificates for Halley's Comet 1986 sighting, a copy of the site profile on the 1908 house in downtown Edmonton later converted into a restaurant called Vi's and information on the Oliver area. Another accrual in 2010 contained documents used for site profiles on the Canadian Furniture Company, Armstrong Drug Store, W.W. Arcade, Mike's News, Pantages (Strand) Theatre and the Princess Theatre.

The book is the personal reminiscences of William Burns who was a prize fighter but in later years resided at the Selkirk Hotel and was often known to stand on the corner of Jasper Ave and 101 St., telling ‘interesting yarns’ about his prize fighting days. The publishing of the book was funded by donations of William Burns’ friends. It is possible Thomas Walsh contributed to the publishing of the book.
The fonds consists of a photograph album created by the William and Beata Humberstone. The photographs include the Humberstone mine, farm, family and friends. There is also a one-page family tree in the back of the album.
