This series contains financial records, correspondence and memoranda relating to the work of the department, as well as resources used by its employees. The series includes a bookkeeping ledger used to track aggregate credits and debits between 1956 and 1974.
The series consists of textual records and photographs predominantly pertaining to Harold and Winnifred Ross, and to a lesser extent their daughter Jeane. The textual records includes postcards written from Winnie to some of her family and from Harold to Winnie shortly before they were married. Some photographs include other family members of the Ross and Thompson families. The records reflect Harold and Winnie’s life from coming west as young single adults, becoming a family in Edmonton before Harold went off to war, and Winnie’s later life on the farm in Millet.
Ross FamilyThe series consists of family and business records of Matthew McCauley and his family. The family records include biographies on Matthew McCauley and his family. There are also family history narratives, family tree sheets, and some photocopies of photographs.
The business records are for Matthew McCauley’s butcher shop and cartage businesses. The ledgers list the daily transactions or general accounts of the businesses, which include the names of many (now well known) Edmonton families and the costs of the material, product or service provided (ex: hay, meat, livery, hauling and cartage).
The photographs include the first train across the North Saskatchewan River, Matthew’s children, and the First Presbyterian Church Choir.
Matthew McCauley FamilyThis series contains material related to the administration of the Edmonton Ambulance Authority. It includes minutes of the Edmonton Medical Services Advisory Committee, reports, and financial statements.
This series contains annual reports and correspondence relating to the operations of the City Architect and Building Inspector's Department, as well as a general ledger detailing financial information concerning the department.
This series consists of documents related to the regular operation of the Foundation. Included in this series are minutes and agendas of the Board of Directors and various committees that reported to the Board, incorporation records, bylaws and their amendments, financial statements, budgets, annual general meetings including annual reports, correspondence, and other documents pertaining to the larger operation of the Foundation. The documents in this series have been arranged to roughly correspond to their subject matter. For example, files related to the Princess Theatre’s operation are grouped together though there may be some documents with higher file numbers to reflect later accruals to the collection.
This series contains records created by Paul Norris while serving as an Alderman in the City of Edmonton. The majority of the records are alphabetical subject files of correspondence and council inquiries. There are also several boxes of correspondence with his constituents arranged chronologically. Some issues included in the constituents' correspondence also appear in the subject files.
Norris, PaulThe series consists of records pertaining to the operation and administrative functions of the Edmonton Art Gallery. Included in the series are financial records, reports, correspondence, certificates, and promotional materials. Also included in the series are plans relating to the acquisition of land for new gallery, records related to the Edmonton Art Club, and architecture design drawings for the gallery.
The series also includes records from the Blow Condell family who donated money to build the Edmonton Art Gallery in 1962. The building was named the Arthur Blow Condell Memorial Building after Dr. William Newton and Abigail Edith Condell's son who died in 1910.
The series consists of records pertaining to the governance and administration of the St. David's Welsh Society from 1966 to 2007. Records include minutes, reports, correspondence, and membership lists. Also included in the series are minutes and correspondence from the St. David's Welsh Society Welsh Ladies Auxiliary.
St. David’s Welsh Society of EdmontonThe series consists of records pertaining to Gail Hall's catering company Gourmet Goodies. Records include newsletters, recipes, culinary tour information, promotional materials, menus, financial records, and a guest book. Also included in the series are photograph of various Gourmet Goodies staff, events, and food.
