The fonds consists of photographs taken by Gordon Wilkins. The images are of early Edmonton, including unidentified people who may be members of the Wilkins family, houses, horses or horse and buggy, mining activity, John Walter’s ferry, Indigenous peoples and other events in Edmonton. It also includes photos of Gordon working at Kline’s Jewelry and the Kline family.

The fonds consists of hand painted cards with street scenes of Edmonton painted by Reg and sent to friends and family at Christmas. It also includes the notes sent with the card outlining details of the scenes and Reg’s memories of Edmonton.

Edward Bell fonds

The fonds consists of Edward Bell’s account of becoming a teacher and then principal of Bennett School, including teaching in the school’s temporary accommodations on the second floor of a house in 1912 while awaiting construction of the school building. The Bennett School moved into their new building on Gallagher flats in the spring of 1913.
The photograph is of the temporary classroom that was used before the Bennett School building was opened.
