This series consists of correspondence, notes, research, architectural drawings, photographs and reports created and compiled by Roman Fodchuk while a student at Berkeley University, Harvard University, associate professor in the School of Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph, and associate professor at the University of Calgary developing the Environmental Design (EVDS) program.

The fonds consists of the materials created by the Clifford E. Lee Foundation including minutes, financial statements, grant files, photographs, correspondence, research files, and oral history interviews.

They include photographs of life in Edmonton, including of groups such as the Irish Canadian society, the Drew Machine Co. that her family worked at, Fort Edmonton Refurbishers, holidaying at Riviere Qui Barre and Elk Island Park, and schools and students that she or her family members taught at. The schools include a Teacherage near Myrham, Alberta in 1915, Victoria High School in Edmonton in 1911, Cecilia Jeffrey Boarding School (Residential School) near Shoal Lake or Lake of the Woods by Kenora, Ontario in 1905-1906, a school in Stirling Alberta in 1906-1908 and the Llanarthney School for Girls in Edmonton from 1933-1939.

The fonds consists of records from the development of the play “This Hour Has Ten Decades”, written, produced and performed at Jasper Place Composite High School, including scripts, correspondence and promotional material.
The photographs are of the play and include the cast and crew.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the Edmonton Public Welfare Board from 1914 to 1925. The records include minutes, reports, finances, correspondence, and by-law. Also included in the fonds are minutes, reports, and cases dealt with by the Visiting Committee, later known as the Advisory Committee, and minutes from the Committee on Unemployment.

The fonds consists of some records and biographical clippings of Richard Ottewell and the Ottewell family as well as correspondence and records of Jennie (Ottewell) Smith and her husband Bliss Simith.

The series consists of records related to the operational functions of the Edmonton Social Planning Council (E.S.P.C.) and its communications and interactions with external organizations. During the E.S.P.C.'s early years, it acted as a coordinating body for other social agencies, therefore the series includes records pertaining to the council's interactions with a wide variety of organizations, government offices and persons. These include the Canadian Welfare Council, Youth Services, The John Howard Society, University of Alberta, Canadian Mental Health Association in Alberta and the Edmonton School Board, along with many others. Records include correspondence, reports, minutes, news clippings, and reference documentation. Minutes include those from related organizations and councils that the E.S.P.C. worked with, as well as the various committees within the council. Some of the records including, newsletters, programs and bulletins, relate to external organizations, at local, provincial, national and international levels. These records provide context for the E.P.S.C's work and interactions with these external organizations.

The series also includes records pertaining to the United Community Fund of Greater Edmonton (formerly Community Chest) which merged with the E.P.S.C. in 1953 and early correspondence with Charlotte Whitton, who founded the Canadian Council on Child Welfare in 1920.

The series also includes records pertaining to the Canadian Conference on Housing and Community Funds and Councils of Canada conference.

This series consists of textual records pertaining to the Youth Services Division of the Edmonton Council of Community Services (currently Edmonton Social Planning Council). The series highlights the Division's work on welfare issues concerning children and youth in Edmonton beginning a year before its inception in 1955, to when it was absorbed into the Council in 1966. Some records pertain to the Council's continued work with youth after 1966. The series includes minutes, administrative records, correspondence with related organizations and persons, reports, bylaws, articles, clippings, directories and Council newsletters. The series also consists of records pertaining to the Division’s work in providing guidance, training courses, and hosting conferences related to child and youth welfare.
