This fonds consists of notebooks, minute books, accounts, and other records of John Walter's business operations, including trading, river ferry and lumbering. Also included are photocopies of documents provided by the Walter family. In addition, this fonds contains 27 photographs provided by the Walter family.
Walter, JohnThe fonds consists of research materials collected or created by Gilda Rath. The records generally relates to three themes: excerpts from the Edmonton Bulletin 1880-1882, and the Saskatchewan Herald, 1879-1882; the story of the Lamoureux family from their origins in Quebec to their settlement in the Edmonton district; and translations of correspondence from the Oblate Archives relating to members of the order and to the history of the Edmonton area.
Also included is information on First Nations, Metis, steamboat transportation on the North Saskatchewan, and notes and excerpts from other sources. The research material appears to have been accumulated for a book on the history of French settlement in North America and the Canadian northwest, focusing on the Lamoureux family. A partial typescript of this work is included in the fonds. Some of the notes are transcripts from tape recordings, but the original tapes are not present.
This part consists of records of the Secord family that include more than one family member of the Richard H. Secord family or pertain to members of the extended Secord family.

The fonds consists of letters written by Arthur Meredith to his family in Ontario about his experiences, predominantly regarding his settling in Edmonton in the 1890s. A transcription was provided along with the records.

Williams, StanThe fonds consists of materials created by Frank Oliver including published and unpublished speeches and newspapers, correspondence, and typescripts of various newspaper articles relating to Frank Oliver.
Oliver, FrankThis collection consists of records of horse brands, souvenir programs, cards, invitations, memorabilia, City of Edmonton walking and driving tours, resource material and reports of the Heritage Sites Selection Committee, records of the start of the Edmonton Historical Board, the McKay Avenue School Archives and Museum, Fort Edmonton Historical Foundation, and biographies and notes about early settlers of Edmonton. This collection also includes paraphernalia and documentation from the wider McQueen family and several books on the history of Alberta.
Learmonth, HelenThe fonds consists predominantly of photographs covering three generations and five of the six branches of the W. Scott Robertson family. The photographs include Frederic’s parents (Robert and Isabel Robertson), siblings, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There are also many unidentified photographs but it is likely these belonged to Frederic’s mother-in-law, Cassie Bain Foley, as ‘C.B.’ is written on the back of the photos.
The textual records consist of one birthday card from Alice J. Wright (Frederic’s maternal grandmother) to Bob, likely Robert Robertson (Frederic’s father) (n.d.) and a calendar card from Isabel Wright Robertson (Frederic’s mother) to ‘Dolly’ (1939).
Frederic B. Robertson FamilyThe series consists of family and business records of Matthew McCauley and his family. The family records include biographies on Matthew McCauley and his family. There are also family history narratives, family tree sheets, and some photocopies of photographs.
The business records are for Matthew McCauley’s butcher shop and cartage businesses. The ledgers list the daily transactions or general accounts of the businesses, which include the names of many (now well known) Edmonton families and the costs of the material, product or service provided (ex: hay, meat, livery, hauling and cartage).
The photographs include the first train across the North Saskatchewan River, Matthew’s children, and the First Presbyterian Church Choir.
