This series consists of documentation investigating Edmonton's Mayor and Councilors regarding compliance with the Municipalities Act. These investigations include the Porter Royal Commission into civic mismanagement especially in regards to property speculation and profiteering by William Hawrelak, the Morrow Inquiry into bribing councilors including Aldermen Fallow and McLean, the disqualification of Mayor Hawrelak for violating the City Act in 1965, and the Nuclear Disarmament Referendum quashed by Mayor Purves. This series also includes the report of the form of City Government which proposed switching Edmonton to its current ward based system.

This series consists of periodicals in the City of Edmonton Archives' collection. The material comes from a variety of sources and is arranged alphabetically by title.
This series contains posters that were either anonymously sent to the Archives or found in the collection of the City of Edmonton Archives. The posters had no provenance, and were therefore combined into a single series. The posters relate to festivals, theatre productions, community events, and fundraisers held in the Edmonton area.
The series consists of agendas, minutes, correspondence and supporting documentation relating to Richard York Secord’s service on the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, 1959-1968, the Edmonton Archives and Landmarks Committee/Edmonton Historical Board, 1964-1972, the Alberta Heritage Sites Board, 1973-1976, and the Fort Edmonton Foundation, 1970-1975.
There is also personal and business correspondence, including correspondence relating to the Secord family history, as well as research material, correspondence and manuscripts relating to the Richard Henry Secord biography and Richard York Secord memoirs.
The photographs and books reflect many aspects of Richard Y. Secord’s activities and interests.
Sans titreThis series consists of administrative files, proposals, promotional material, professional resources, project files, reports, architectural plans and artwork related to work done by Roman Fodchuk through his landscape architecture company Roman Fodchuk and Associaties Ltd. Over the course of his firm, Roman Fodchuk worked on residential, commercial and infrastructure projects for private individuals, corporations, nonprofit organizations and all levels of government. Some of his more noteworthy projects include the Capital City Recreation Park, Strathcona Science Park, the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, the University of Alberta Health Sciences Centre, Coal Lake, Bigelow Dam, the Calgary Zoo, the Medicine Hat River Valley, Calgary Exhibition and Stampede Park among many others. In all of his projects Roman worked to use native plants, limit erosion and other environmental damage and work with the existing environment to create a sustainable habitat for both humans and our natural world.

This series of records is related to the Commissioners' role of overseeing all issues of land ownership within the City's limits. Residential and industrial development had to be managed and eventually planned for. Standards were required for buildings and construction and the resulting enforcement duties. This series contains the following subseries:
3.1 Land
This subseries includes records dealing with the purchase, sale, and management of land resources within the city, including subdivision of land, easements, urban renewal, future planning, and land sales, leases and purchases.
3.2 Zoning
This subseries consists of records relating to the restrictions placed on development and changes to that system over the years.
3.3 Architects and Inspections
This subseries consists of the records generated between the Architect's Department and the Commissioners, including records relating to the enforcement of building and zoning bylaws, including the management of civic office buildings (such as the Civic Block).
3.4 Economic Development
This subseries consists of the records relating to the promotion of the City for tourism, conventions and other special events to encourage economic development.
This series contains records collected and created by the Civic Centennial Committee. It includes foundational documentation, meeting minutes, correspondence, and general information and ephemera relating to Canada's Centennial.

The coronation of George VI and his wife Elizabeth as King and Queen of the United Kingdom took place May 12, 1937. In preparation, a meeting was held by the City of Edmonton March 10, 1937 to discuss a suitable form of celebration for the occasion. The Edmonton Coronation Celebration Committee was thus established, charged with formulating the plans for the observance and celebration of the event. This series contains minutes, correspondence, and financial records of the Committee and it's various subcommittees.
