Administrative history
The Gateway Camera Club (GCC) was founded in 1962, in Edmonton, by professional photographer Art Jacques. At the time of donation the group was primarily interested in colour transparency photography.
Over the years the club has transformed from being a club of slide and print photographers to a club now consisting entirely of digital photographers. The GCC is made up of beginner, intermediate and advanced amateur photographers who strive to learn new techniques, share knowledge and practice the art of photography. The club holds regular meetings, workshops, competitions and outings to promote its interests.
Custodial history
Isabell Hill was president of the Gateway Camera Club of Edmonton at the time of donation.
Scope and content

The textual records include instructions, presentation outline, slide index with names of providers, script (2 copies), tray lists of the slide presentation. There is also a recorded narration (audiotape) to accompany the slides.
File List:
File 1. An Edmonton Story – notes, general outline, slide tray indexes, slide index (listing photographers).
File 2. An Edmonton Story – script (2 copies) (for slides and narration on audio reel, see ET-11 and EAV-3).
