The Edmonton's 75th Anniversary Committee was established in 1978. The Committee was charged with planning celebrations for the 75th Anniversary of Edmonton's 1904 incorporation as a City in 1979. The committee created 25 subcommittees to liaise with stakeholders and undertake the work of planning the various events.

This series contains the records created by the Edmonton's 75th Anniversary Committee and its various subcommittees. It includes meeting minutes, correspondence, graphic material, and ephemera relating to the activities undertaken by the committee and the community in celebrating Edmonton's 75th anniversary.

This material was transferred to the Archives by the Edmonton's 75th Anniversary Committee and the Public Relations Department in 1979 and 1981.
Classement
The material was arranged by the archivist so that related Committee records were together, starting with the Executive Planning Committee, followed by the chronologically numbered subcommittees. Some material was not in file folders. It was discovered that these records were from various projects. Project files (56-65) were created for this material. Likewise, Files 66, 67, and 68 were loose in the boxes, and therefore received files at the end of the arrangement. While the records in files 56-68 would have been under the purview of one or more committees, it could not be determined which one, therefore they are on their own.
The photographs were given item numbers and the prefix EA-6 and ET-15.
