After Emily Murphy's death in 1933 this painting belonged to her daughter Evelyn G. Murphy and was kept at her home in Vancouver.
Scope and content
This painting shows an artist's portrayal from the top of McDougall Hill looking south and west towards Rossdale and the river valley. The painting includes the Edmonton Hotel, the Edmonton Brewing and Malting Co., and the City Flour Mills.
