• Head Coach Sam Lyle joshed a bit at the airport last night with his two 'guest' coaches for the fast-approaching Eskimo camp but still had trouble convincing them they were this far north. Lew Woodruff of Georgia Tech., to Lyle's left, and Jay O'Neal from Oklahoma had just completed day-long flights from Altanta, Ga. and Oklahoma City and will just have time to get settled before starting to line up the work schedule with Lyle for the camp opening at Clarke Stadium (newspaper clipping).
